TallyPrime is solid accounting software, and your CA almost certainly knows it well. Most distributors who talk to us are not unhappy with their books. They have run into everything that happens outside the books: salesman orders arriving on WhatsApp, collections counted over the phone at night, stock in a second godown that someone enters two days late.

Moving from TallyPrime
Upload a Tally XML export and LalaJi brings in parties with opening balances, items with HSN and GST rates, units, and sales and purchase vouchers. LalaJi does not sync back to Tally, so pick a clean cut-over date and keep Tally for looking up older records.
FAQ
TallyPrime or LalaJi: common questions
Can my CA still file GST if I move off Tally?
Yes. LalaJi prepares GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 and HSN summary reports that your CA can export and use on the GST portal.
Will I lose my old Tally data?
No. Your Tally company stays as it is. LalaJi imports masters, opening balances and sales and purchase vouchers from an export, and you keep Tally to look up older entries.
Will my team have to learn new keyboard shortcuts?
A few, for now. The desktop app's Classic mode is keyboard-first, and a Tally shortcut preset that keeps F8 for a sale and F9 for a purchase is launching next.
Is LalaJi ERP cheaper than Tally?
For one user with no field team, no: TallyPrime Silver costs less. With salesmen and remote access, LalaJi usually costs less a year because the salesman app, WhatsApp and access from anywhere are included. Use the calculator above with your own numbers.
